“The Chris” celebrates a barnstorming win on Day Two of the Nikon SuperGP despite the attempts by John Martin to run him down. Martin unfortunately crashed but Alajajian ran away with two wins from three starts.

Sensational MINI Challenge debutant Ryan Hansford gets some major air while chasing Chris Alajajian into the first chicane at the Nikon SuperGP. Hansford clearly has talent and we’re hoping to see him race more often in the MINI Challenge, delivered by Pizza Capers.

In between races the Glory Team Construction team prep Nathan Caratti’s #10 for competition in the pits – the underground car park of the Gold Coast International Hotel.

The teams are very comprehensive when it comes to race preparation in between events. Up on jack stands and with all four wheels off the Hi Tech Motorsport guys get Caratti’s car ready.

17 MINI Challenge cars blast into the opening chicane with Pizza Capers UBER Star driver Glenn Seton working the #50 car into third ahead of John Martin #16 and Grant Denyer #95. Just two corners later Denyer and Seton made contact into turn three and both spun.

“Close” Team mates Paul Stokell and Grant Denyer enjoy some quality time together outside the GCI Hotel in between events. It’s been a stunning year for the DecoRug Racing boys, having swept almost all comers so far in 2009.

Plenty of MINI and Miss SuperGP glamour lined the streets of Surfers Paradise as the MINI Challenge action reached fever pitch in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

Good looking QLD young gun and second generation racer Ryan Hansford was sensational all weekend and finished third overall. Ryan’s Dad, the late Gregg Hansford, would have been so proud of him.

The always smiling, always affable, always charming Grant Denyer. Not the best of weekends for him on track however as he slipped to third in the Series points battle.

Series Leader Paul Stokell is enjoying his time in the sun, and his lead in MINI Challenge, delivered by Pizza Capers.

Gold Coast MINI Dealer Beric Lynton was on fire at his home circuit over the weekend. His final results may not have reflected it but Beric was really on a mission and continues to improve with every outing.

MINI Challenge category rights agency (Toleman Motorsport) director Raf Toda keeps a close eye on the action from Pit Lane on the final day of the Nikon SuperGP.

One of the most charismatic drivers in the paddock is Queenslander Brendan Cook. A noted golfer, musician and hard charger, Brendan’s Motorline MINI Garage team pulled an ‘all nighter’ to repair his car on Day 3 of the Nikon SuperGP and get him back on track for the last race.
