Round 2 2010 REVIEW

Round 2 winner Chris Alajajian said:
"We finished all three races on the podium this weekend and it was great to be able to end the weekend with a race and round win. Two round wins in a row is really making things look good for my championship hopes. I had a few issues on the last couple of laps today and the car was cutting in and out of power with the finish line in sight! Luckily the car stayed strong and I want to say a big thanks to my Standox team for keeping the car 100 percent all weekend. There was some really close racing once again and I can’t wait to see what round three will bring."

Round 2 runner-up Paul Stokell said:
"It’s great to come out with some good points and back on the podium again after the efforts in Clipsal. I had a ball out there this weekend but it was also probably the slowest I’ve ever driven due to some boost issues with the car. But that’s racing sometimes and we still came away with a result and a big congrats to Chris, he raced exceptionally well all weekend. I still have a lot to make up in the championship and the DNF in Clipsal really hurt but we’ll keep trying with five rounds still left in the series."

Round 2 third-placed Sean Carter said:
"I was hoping it wasn’t going to rain for the last race today and despite a small drizzle the track stayed pretty grippy still. I was kind of surprised we finished third overall because we miss calculated and thought I had to win today to claim third spot so it was big enough of a surprise that I nearly missed the podium! That last race was great fun and I had a good battle with Seton but made a pretty ambitious move on lap 7 which let Dale [Wood] past me but all and all fourth was a solid finish and I’m stoaked to be on the podium again for the second time in a row."

Dean Canto got deducted 50 points of his total series points due to an tyre marking infringment in the 2nd Round of MINI Challenge. Canto's points from Qualifying (29), Race 1 (15), Race 2 (25) and Race 3 (DNF) were adjusted to match the 50 points deduction.
